Day One

The festival commences with the Juddmonte International (Group 1) – the richest race of York racecourse's season and ranked as the best horse race in Britain by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities in 2015. This outstanding race has been won by some of the greats including Frankel in 2012, considered by some as the best thoroughbred in history.

Day Two - Ladies Day

The second day is synonymous with style, elegance, and world-class sport. York Ebor Ladies Day is a social highlight, where guests can win coveted prizes for their outfits as they catwalk over the Ebor Fashion Lawn. On the track, the Group One Darley Yorkshire Oaks takes centre stage, open to fillies and mares aged three years or older.

Day Three

Friday at the Festival features the fastest and most exciting race of the season, the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes. The race regularly ranks as the highest rated five-furlong sprint in the world. The image of the finest horses thundering down the home straight is spectacular and in 2019, a new course record of under 57 seconds was set.

Day Four

It’s the weekend and time to soak up the buzz of the final day. Since 1843, the oldest and most famous race, the Ebor, has generated much excitement and many tales and it continues to hold the title as Europe’s richest flat handicap race. The fantastic atmosphere around York Racecourse for the historic Ebor Day has to be savoured.
