Overview

We are pleased to announce that we are returning to the Emerald Isle in 2025 to host our hugely popular annual tour to the Coolmore Stud & The 1000 Guineas.

The Irish 1000 Guineas is a historic flat horse race open to thoroughbred three-year-old fillies, with a course distance of one mile. As one of Ireland's most prestigious horse races, it's a great horse racing holiday close to home.

The Irish 2000 Guineas is the same distance but open to thoroughbred three-year-old colts and fillies and is another premium event in the Irish horse racing calendar.

We include a visit to the traditional Coolmore Stud before experiencing two days of superb racing at The Curragh Racecourse.

Join us for a very warm Irish welcome a Curragh racing weekend to remember!

Highlights of the 1000 and 2000 Guineas Races in Ireland

The Irish Guineas are Group 1 races that attract some of the best three-year-old fillies and colts in Europe. The atmosphere is always electric with anticipation for the inaugural running of the flat racing season, and the Curragh racecourse has been a regular setting for classic races throughout history.

In 2025, we can expect a host of lightning-quick three-year-olds with entries from the world's best trainers like Aidan O'Brien and Charlie Appleby entering the promising Acapulco Bay and Ancient Truth respectively. With more entries yet to be confirmed, it's set to be a weekend of top-class racing.

The Curragh Racecourse: The Heart of the Action

The setting for some of the best head-to-head racing in Irish history, the Curragh Racecourse is steeped in history dating back to the early 1700s. It's regarded as the home of Irish flat racing and is a cultural landmark for horse racing enthusiasts and has seen some of the greatest thoroughbreds and trainers in history compete for the Irish Guineas.

You'll be at the heart of the action with exuberant race day luxury. Hospitality here is at the height of sophistication and boasts state-of-the-art facilities for spectators and trainers alike, with a recently redeveloped grandstand and stables.
