Originally opened in 1922, Monza is one of F1’s most classic circuits. Renowned as one of the fastest tracks in the world, and often called the ‘Temple of Speed’, the race here is invariably one of the season’s most important and influential – drivers are racing at full throttle for around 80% of the circuit. Consisting almost entirely of long straights and tight chicanes, fans are allowed close to the action, enhancing the awesome sensation of speed and drama, and the passion of the Italian fans creates a racing atmosphere like no other.
The track’s setting, surrounded by verdant parkland, makes for a beautiful viewing experience, with spectators getting closer to the action than at many other venues.
