Dubai is hosting one of the most anticipated padel events of the year in November; the Dubai Premier Padel P1 event, and we at Spectate are proud to offer a luxury padel experience on our 2024 Dubai Padel Tour.

Often called 'padel tennis ', padel is a unique sport and a thrilling mix of tennis and squash. it's one of the fastest-growing sports in the world and is played in doubles over a net in an enclosed court, making for frantic, action-packed matches.

One of the most opulent cities in the world, Dubai is the perfect place to experience padel for the first time. It also boasts stunning beaches with sparkling waters, adventure activity and luxury dining options, and is a hub for Arabian culture.

Read on to discover our favourite things to do when visiting Dubai in November on your luxury padel tennis holiday.

Best Things to Do in Dubai in November

As part of our Dubai Padel holiday package, you can train up your skill levels in everything from beginner techniques to advanced tactics to help you learn the game from scratch or hone your game on the padel court.

Sun setting over the Dubai desert

Desert Safari

A desert safari is amongst the most exciting things you can do when you visit Dubai — as well as watching the World Padel Tour, of course — and is included in our Dubai Padel holiday.

In your free time away from the padel action, we personally recommend a desert safari excursion across the sun-drenched dunes of Dubai's golden sands. It's incredible to see where Dubai's towering metropolis abruptly ends, and its peaceful sands begins.

In the dunes, you'll find an abundance of wildlife including horned Arabian oryx, Arabian sand gazelles, and many species of lizards and geckos.

Desert dining experience

Shamiana Sunset Dinner

A sunset dinner in a torch-lit Shamiana (open Arabic tent) is an unforgettable way to close the day in Dubai in November.

You can enjoy Arabic warm hospitality to its fullest with the traditional hot welcome treats of sweet dates and steaming hot Arabic coffee before indulging in an authentic Arabian outdoor dining experience.

The magic of the desert is best captured at night and is an authentic starlit backdrop to the fire shows, Tannoura dancers, music, and belly dancers providing cultural evening entertainment.

If you'd prefer a fine dining experience in the city itself, visit one of the Top 5 best Places to Eat in Dubai.

Embark on a Luxury Cruise

Cruising on a private yacht is one of the classiest ways to experience Dubai. There's nothing like sipping on a drink from a complimentary bar as you admire the iconic sights of the UAE coastline.

Dubai offers some fantastic snorkelling spots, with plenty of colourful fish and turtles decorating its sparkling waters. After you've finished exploring underwater, take a jet ski for more thrills on the waves before enjoying a BBQ meal aboard your luxury yacht.

Sand Dune Bashing

If you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping adventure when you visit Dubai, look no further. Out on the dunes, you can ride in a 4x4 across Dubai's undulating sandy waves. It's an unforgettable experience and one that will have you gripping your door handle as you're launched down endless steep desert drops.

We recommend sitting in the front seat for the best views as you surf the sands and ensure you stop to take photos of the awe-inspiring desert sunset. The drivers are extremely helpful and are always happy to help you get the perfect photo, too.

Whilst out on the golden sands, immerse yourself in UAE camel culture with a camel ride across the dunes and explore one of its many desert towns.

Sun setting over the Burj Khalifa

Experience a Burj Khalifa Sunset

The world's tallest building is one of the major attractions and something you'll see from the skies before you've even touched down in Dubai. It's a must-visit attraction for us, and our favourite time of day to ascend its 163 floors is in the evening to admire the stunning views of the Dubai's modern architecture at sunset.

The sun sets at the top of Burj Khalifa around 3 minutes later than at ground level, but we still recommend getting to the top in good time — it's a sunset you don't want to miss.

If a sunset trip up the Burj Khalifa is too much of a stretch on your itinerary, visiting during the day is the next best option. With the sun beating down from above you'll marvel at the incredible views of Dubai's cityscape and its surrounding desert plains.

Dubai Fountain Show

Burj Khalifa Lake Fountain Show

The lake at the foot of Burj Khalifa hosts spectacular fountain shows every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm daily. You'll notice that most visitors crowd below the tower to watch, but we think the best viewpoint is just across the water at the Time Out Market Dubai.

As well as the impressive array of delicious world food, fine dining options, and bars, you can find market balconies overlooking the fountain show with the stunning Burj Khalifa in the background.

Visit later in the evening for a more atmospheric spectacle with colourful illuminated jets lighting up the night as they dance in time to a range of melodies.

Dubai Souk Market

Shopping at Souk Markets and the Dubai Mall

Downtown Dubai is famed worldwide for its luxury shopping malls, though you may be surprised by the diverse range of retail experiences the city has to offer.

Traditional souks (markets) are not only a cultural hub, but a kaleidoscope of colours and scents with brightly dyed fabric lining the stalls and rich smells of frankincense and saffron filling the air. Dubai's booming gold market thrives here too — you'll find plenty of diamonds and precious metals in its many gold souks.

For a more modern retail experience, the Dubai Mall has everything from Prada to Chanel. It's worth a visit for its 10-million-litre aquarium tank alone, where you can enjoy a diving lesson amongst colourful schools of tropical fish. If you find yourself in Dubai in December or January, a trip to the Dubai Shopping Festival is a must.

Jumeirah Beach

Relax at the Beach

With pristine shores and crystal-clear waters, a few hours at the beach are an idyllic way to spend a morning when visiting Dubai for the World Padel Tour.

Jumeirah Beach stands out to us as one of the best beaches in the UAE for its location close to Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, its sugary sands, water sports activities, and azure waters — but there are plenty of superb options for a relaxing day by the sea including:

  • Jumeirah Beach

  • La Mer Beach

  • Kite Beach

  • Umm Suqeim Beach

At Kite Beach you can swap padel tennis for paddleboarding or kitesurfing on a beach packed with fashionable cafes. Umm Suqeim Beach is a serene coastal haven of white sand with a jogging track and water sports activities for a mix of tranquillity and action, and La Mer Beach is equally relaxed with a lively promenade and beach club for entertainment, as well as a diverse range of gourmet restaurants, and stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. All are brilliant beaches that won't be too crowded.

Dubai World Cup 2023

Horse Racing — Dubai World Cup

Finally, we know that the Dubai World Cup doesn't coincide with the Dubai Padel World Tour in November, but we just couldn't leave this prestigious horse racing event off our list. It's one of the top global platforms for the most elite thoroughbreds to compete and is always an enthralling spectacle.

The good news is that there are still plenty of options if you're looking to experience an exhilarating day at the races in Dubai in November with races held at the prestigious Meydan Racecourse and Jebel Ali Racecourses on weekends throughout the month.

Tapasake pool seating island at One Za'abeel hotel

Where to Stay in Dubai during the World Padel Tour Weekend

The One&Only One Za'abeel is our top pick for a luxury hotel in Dubai during the World Padel Tour weekend as it has incredible resort amenities and is well-located for travelling to the padel venue.

With the longest infinity sky pool in the United Arab Emirates, it's the ideal place to relax after an energetic day at the padel courts. Sitting atop the 120m tall twin skyscrapers, you can swim amongst the clouds overlooking the city at the Tapasake Pool Club and enjoy the sun as it dips behind the Dubai skyline.

One Za'abeel offers a variety of bespoke experiences from yoga on its Tapasake roof deck overlooking the skyline to biking through the city. Dubai In November

What's the weather like in Dubai in November?

Despite Dubai sitting on a desert and being a notoriously hot city, there are cooler times of the year to visit, and November is one of them. November marks the start of winter and is a very temperate time of year to visit Dubai — not too hot, not too cold.

That said, there's more than an 80% chance that your time in Dubai in November will be sunny with clear skies. With all that sunshine it doesn't rain very often, and the average rainfall is around 1mm for the whole of November.

How hot is it in Dubai in November?

Dubai's weather cools in November with average temperatures of around 25C. This temperature can peak at around 31C in the middle of the day and fall to 19C at night.

By Dubai's standards, November's mild weather offers a great time of year to swim in the sea, with the sea temperature feeling like a warm bath at 29C.

What to wear in Dubai in November?

You're still likely to feel warm during the day in Dubai's winter, but it's important to respect the local cultures and traditions when choosing what to wear, especially when visiting places of worship. Dubai is a melting pot of diverse cultures, so most attires are generally acceptable but here is a little guidance if you're unsure.

Short-sleeved shirts, knee-length shorts, blouses, Maxi dresses and sandals are great choices to keep cool during the day. We recommend packing an extra layer for the evening to keep you warm, but you won't need anything more heavy-duty than a light jacket.

If you plan on visiting mosques during your stay in Dubai, you should dress modestly with a long sleeve shirt and long trousers, covering your arms and legs, to be allowed entry. Women may also need to wear a headscarf too, so it's a good idea to have one to hand.

Getting around Dubai in November

Dubai's public transport system is world-class, boasting metro, tram, bus and marine transport services offering easy access to all corners of the city. We recommend getting a Nol card as you can use it to access all public transport.

Our favourite way to get around Dubai in November is by water taxi. The refreshing breeze that rolls off the water helps you cool off in the midday heat and the novelty of travelling on Dubai's canal network never wears off.

As well as being a unique way to travel around Dubai, water taxis offer fabulous views, and you'll get to know the city from a different perspective as you sail across its waters.
