The single DRS zone at Losail is located on the kilometre long main straight, so you can expect to witness some dramatic overtakes and exciting wheel to wheel action heading into Turn 1. Due to the demanding layout of the track, tyre wear was a decisive factor in 2021 with no fewer than 4 drivers suffering from tyre failures during the race.
In 2023, there was the added attraction of witnessing the sprint race on the Saturday, one of only six events that featured sprints in the 2023 season.
The 5.4km Losail International Circuit is located 30km north of Doha and is the third night race to be introduced to the Formula 1 calendar.
